Atrial Systems

Atrial Systems Ltd is a software development, testing, hardware design and product realisation company based in Stotfold, Hitchin. CADceptual Design teamed up with Atrial as mechanical design consultants to develop a gear select module for Ford Motorsport. Atrial developed software to display both the selected gear, whilst mapping the engine revs to change real time, the digit colour to prompt optimum gear shift timing. CADceptual Design was tasked with both housing the electronics as well as packaging the unit into a pre-defined vent housing within the rally car dashboard. Using Pro/ENGINEER and rapid prototyping we were able to realise the product quickly on this time critical project.

The European Engine Alliance

The European Alliance is a joint venture between CNH (Case New Holland), Cummings and Iveco created to develop a range of diesel engines to meet Euro 3 legislation.

CADceptual Design was employed as a Pro/ENGINEER mechanical design resource working primarily on the cooling and lubrication systems.

Gallaher Tobacco - Cardiff

Building on our links within the tobacco industry, CADceptual Design has produced a number of guarding solutions to guard high speed packing machinery. The solution had to be retrofitable to existing machines, guard the operator from the machinery within, and promote process visibility and operator access. CADceptual Design were able to meet all its key objectives as well as producing an aesthetic and ergonomic guarding solution.

Gallaher Tobacco - Ireland

Drawing on our special purpose machinery experience CADceptual Design were able to design and deliver a turnkey Flavour Applicator System to apply menthol solution to tobacco products.

Our experience enabled us to address the many conceptual challenges and meet the demanding specification laid down by the client.

Project Management, Full Documentation and risk assesment ensured close attention to detail and promoted design visibility within the business, with outside suppliers and component manufacturers and the client, essential for success on a project of this size.

Johnson and Johnson

Johnson and Johnson is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of orthopaedic devices and operating room devices. CADceptual Design was employed as Pro/ENGINEER specialist to convert their 2D drawings to fully parametric 3D models and drawings.

Advanced modelling techniques were adopted to produce the complex and varied products.

LTX Europe Ltd.

LTX Europe is the sister company of LTX a leading American company supplying diagnostic test equipment to the semiconductor industry.

CADceptual Design was employed to design and develop a new range of interfaces required to transport the mainframe analogue/digital and RF diagnostics onto an individual integrated circuit on a silicon wafer. Through customer visits in Munich and working closely with the client we were able to design and manufacture a lightweight, cost effective interface which due to its innovative design and ease of operation has been adapted by Siemen semiconductors as their test platform standard World-Wide

Molmac Engineering (Part of Molins Group)

Molmac Engineering design, manufacture and retrofit machinery for the tobacco industry worldwide and with CADceptual Design’s special purpose machinery background we were ideally placed to provide a complete installation support service to Molmac, overseeing an installation of a hinge lid packer complex at Manchester Tobacco (MTC).

By acting as design authority on site we were able to liaise directly with MTC management and Molmac engineers to co-ordinate installation and resolve design issues. Daily meetings ensured visibility and provided good lines of communication resulting in overall project success on time.

PBT

PBT invent, develop and manufacture precision mechatronics for the OEM market. CADceptual Design has worked with PBT on a number of projects providing a number of competent and reliable Pro/ENGINEER mechanical design resource. Working with time sensitive product development we were able to quickly and effectively productionise concepts, create STL prototypes for evaluation, and detail for production.

Servocell

CADceptual Design clients include Original Equipment Manufacturers who produce products for use within the consumer markets. These products require stringent test and validation to ensure they are safe, robust and fit for function.

CADceptual Design supports these clients by producing test equipment, jigs and fixturing, to subject those products to the extremes of their specifications

SIMS Gaseby (Part of Smiths Group Plc)

Sims Gaseby is a leading medical manufacturing group providing innovative products to critical care professionals worldwide.

CADceptual Design was employed as mechanical design engineers to evaluate and resolve operational problems being experienced on a prototype Infusion pump. Using both our mechanical background and a prototype pump we were able to highlight quickly areas of concern and implement design solutions, oversee new part procurement and carry out test and validation.
